You should’ve been informed: Law prof Chris Lao clarifies he’s not involved in DBM procurement fiasco
Remember the frustrated car owner who went viral when he mistakenly drove through deep flood in Quezon City and vented “I should have been informed” on national TV?
That abogado’s name is Christopher Lao, who has a namesake discovered to be involved in issues surrounding the questionable government procurement of COVID-19 medical supplies and equipment. The name cropped up in a Senate probe on audit findings against the DOH.
He had to set the record straight on Twitter after followers of former Senator Sonny Trillanes thought it was him.

Trillanes was looking for resigned Budget Undersecretary Lloyd Christopher Lao, who was a close ally of Senator Bong Go. The politiko also acknowledged his clarification.
Of course, netizens just had to seize the opportunity for puns.
We were not informed. Charot!
