Wanda Teo ‘eternally grateful’ as Ombudsman junks graft raps over P60M PTV deal

Former Tourism Secretary Wanda Tulfo-Teo said she felt relieved now that the Office of the Ombudsman junked the graft charges against her for a supposed sweetheart deal between the Department of Tourism and her brother Ben Tulfo’s show on PTV.

The Ombudsman dismissed the graft charge which alleged that she gave preferential treatment on the P60-million deal for the Department of Tourism’s TV commercials to air during the segment of Ben’s program on the state-run network. The anti-graft body ruled that the decision was made by PTV without Teo’s influence.

“I am grateful for the resolution of the office of the Ombudsman dismissing all the charges pertaining to the 60 million DOT funds,” she said in a statement. “This ruling clearly shows that the rule of law and justice is alive and well in this beautiful country.”

“I am eternally grateful to my family and friends who have been at my side all throughout and to our dear Lord whose love and faithfulness is unwavering,” she added.
