‘Walang malasakit!” Sta. Maria slams gov’t for not extending deadline for taxes
Far Eastern University Institute of Law dean Mel Sta. Maria couldn’t help expressing his dismay over the decision of the government not to allow extension to the filing of taxes.
The deadline is still on April 15, or only a day after the expected lifting of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.
The public has appealed for the extension of the deadline, to no avail.
“SObra talaga. Walang malasakit. Ito ang wawasak ng social distancing policy ng gobyerno sa April 15. Mahaba na naman ang pila sa filing and payment. At ang pasimuno pa ay gobyerno rin,” said Sta. Maria.
