Walang guest record? PNP scrambles to name other men who partied with Dacera in Makati hotel
The Philippine National Police remains clueless about the whereabouts of the other men who were seen partying with flight attendant Christine Dacera hours before her death.
NCR Police Chief Vicente Danao, Jr. said investigators are scrambling to reach out to the men who stayed in room 2207 of the City Garden Grand Hotel on New Year’s Eve, more than a week since Dacera was found dead in the bathtub of adjacent room 2209.
“As of now, we’re trying to get the identification kung sino ‘yung mga nandoon sa 2207 kasi we presume that I think an hour or three hours before she passed out, she came from that room. Doon po kami nakafocus,” Danao told CNN Philippines on Friday.
CCTV footages showed the 23-year-old PAL Express employee transferring rooms through the night, looking more drunk by the hour. What’s odd is that the hotel should have the guest records of the partygoers, especially through contact tracing forms — if they were made to accomplish them, as required by the IATF.
The Department of Tourism is making the hotel along Makati Avenue explain why it accepted staycation guests like Dacera and her friends even if it was prohibited, as the establishment was acting as a COVID-19 quarantine center.
“I’m calling on the friends na nandoon po sa (room) 2209 to help us in the investigation,” Danao said. “Meron po silang isang friend diyan na siya ang nagdala noong grupo na iyon. ‘Yun ang kailangan nating makuha.”
