VP Sara arrives at QC RTC after warrant issuance

Vice President Sara Duterte arrived at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court on Saturday and is expected to post bail in her grave threats case that arose from her statement that she told somebody to kill the President, the First Lady, and the former Speaker.

Upon arriving at the RTC, Duterte told her lawyers that she did not feel safe and that she does not trust the court, the police, and her security staff who were assigned by the administration.

She initially refused to enter the building, expressing uncertainty about her fate inside.

She said she wanted the people to see where she would be taken because she feels she would be killed at any time.

She claimed that if anything were to happen to her, the police would only wash its hands of the incident and say they do not know anything.

Her lawyer, Michael Poa, suggested that they use the stairs since she was concerned about using an elevator where she would be out of view of the public.

She said she wanted the media to be there because they are the only people she trusts.

As of press time, she has entered the Quezon City RTC accompanied by members of the media and security staff.
