Usec Margarita Gutierrez honored by nominations for legal talk show

Department of Justice Undersecretary Margarita Gutierrez feels honored that her talk show that seeks to make the law and justice more accessible to the public has been nominated at the 7th Alta Media Icon Awards.

The awards are organized by the Department of Communication of the University of Perpetual Help Las Piñas campus.

Gutierrez’s talk show, “Legally Speaking,” is nominated for Best News Talk Program, while she herself has been nominated for Best News Talk Program Host.

She dedicated the nomination to the team behind the show, which aims to make conversations on law and justice accessible to more Filipinos.

“But beyond the recognition, what matters is the work. The law must not remain something that people find intimidating or difficult to understand. It must be within reach of those who need it most,” she said.

She vowed to continue making the law understandable and accessible and urged the public not to hesitate to reach out for help.

“Alamin ang inyong mga karapatan at gamitin ang batas para ipaglaban ang tama,” she said.
