UP Law professor on recent China collision: It was deliberate and intentional!
Abogado Jay Batongbacal believes that there is no such thing as coincidence in the Philippines’ contested waters. The UP Law Professor explained why it was impossible that the recent collision with a Chinese vessel is an accident.
There is no “maybe” here; PH fishing vessel was anchored in open waters, much room for other vessel to avoid hitting it. This was deliberate and intentional ramming. Failure to render assistance proves intention to deliberately cause harm. https://t.co/ZSoag9I24O

Batongbacal shared a news article on the collision and stated that there is no maybe since it’s clear where the Philippine ship is in the open waters. The abogado noted that the PH ship is well-anchored and there is a big room so that other vessels will not hit it.
The abogado concluded that the Chinese vessel intentionally rammed into the PH ship. He wrote, “Failure to render assistance proves intention to deliberately cause harm.”
