Ted Te on Ressa arrest: It’s the fault of SOJ, courts
Atty. Theodore Te is still outraged over the arrest of Rappler CEO Maria Ressa. The abogado ranted about where the fault lies as he discussed the issues surrounding the arrest.
Resurrecting a charge dismissed by the NBI itself, that’s on the SOJ; but letting Maria Ressa spend a night in detention in violation of her constitutional right to bail because an executive judge refused to follow Rule 114, sec. 17, that’s on the courts.

Te said that it’s the fault of Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra that an NBI case dismissed by its own institution was resurrected. The courts are also at fault for not ruling Rule 114, Section 17 that led Ressa to spend the night in NBI detention.
There is nothing right and everything wrong about the arrest of Maria Ressa. #olddogsrottentricks

The abogado made his position very clear on the matter. He wrote that there is nothing right, only everything wrong about the arrest of the esteemed journalist.
