Tamano explains the power of ethos

For lawyers like Adel Tamano, public speaking must be an essential part of their career, from law school to court room.

But for Tamano, a product of Harvard Law School, the concept of ethos–or ethical appeal to the audience–should be at the core of public speaking.

“Ethos or the character of the speaker is the most important element of all,” said Tamano.

“All the skill and erudition in the world will fall flat if you don’t trust the person trying to persuade you,” he said.
