Sharing is caring!

A Bar placer in the 1985 examination was named acting Justice Secretary replacing Vitaliano Aguirre II whose resignation was accepted by President Duterte on Thursday.

Palace spokesman Harry Roque confirmed that Deputy Executive Secretary Menardo Guevarra is the officer-in-charge of the Department of Justice.

Guevarra graduated from the Ateneo School of Law and placed second in the 1985 bar examinations.

Previous to his appointment, Guevarra wrote Palace issuances like executive orders and memorandum.

Also, he supposedly drafted the martial law proclamation in Mindanao.
