SC to launch Judiciary Help Desk
Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta will lead the launching of the Judiciary Public Assistance Section (JPAS), also known as Judiciary Help Desk on December 9, 9:30 A.M., at the Training Room, Supreme Court in Manila.
The JPAS, which is under the direct control and supervision of the Office of the Chief Justice, shall be composed of three units ─ the Helpdesk Unit, the Hotline Unit, and the Email Messaging Unit.
Its duties and functions, among others, are to manage effectively, efficient and innovative all public assistance concerns of the general public; be the official line of communication between the Judiciary, its stakeholders and the general public; manage the day-to-day operations of the various designated units of the JPAS; provide assistance and information, as well as address queries, from various Judiciary stakeholders and the general public; and to receive letters, communications, inquiries and alike from various stakeholders and the general public.
The Helpdesk Unit shall be located at the Ground Floor of the SC Centennial Building while the Hotline Unit and the Email Messaging Unit at the Office of the Chief Justice. The three units will be manned by personnel working from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M., Mondays to Fridays, except holidays.
The setting-up of a help desk is included in Peralta’s Ten-Point Program, which focuses on judicial reforms concerning the core areas of efficiency, integrity, security, and service within the Philippine Judiciary.
