SC, law school deans gather for annual Breakfast with the Deans

The Supreme Court held its annual “Breakfast with the Deans” on Sunday, September 6, at San Beda College Alabang, which brought together members of the judiciary and law school deans on the first day of the 2026 Bar Examinations.

The event was held at the St. Maur Auditorium of San Beda College Alabang, this year’s national headquarters for the Bar examinations.

2026 Bar Chairperson Supreme Court Associate Justice Samuel H. Gaerlan presented the Political and Public International Law examination questions to the law school deans in attendance during the breakfast.

The annual event serves as a venue for the judiciary and legal educators to come together, discuss matters concerning the examinations, and extend encouragement to Bar candidates.

Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo delivered the closing remarks during the gathering.

Also in attendance were senior Associate Justice Marvic Leonen and Associate Justices Alfredo Benjamin S. Caguioa, Amy C. Lazaro-Javier, Henri Jean Paul B. Inting, Rodil V. Zalameda, Ricardo R. Rosario, Jose Midas P. Marquez, Antonio T. Kho Jr., and Raul B. Villanueva.

Law school deans from across the country also attended the annual gathering.

The “Breakfast with the Deans” has traditionally been held on the first day of the Bar examinations, providing an opportunity for the SC and legal educators to meet as the examinations get underway.#
