SC junks Baby O’Brien’s complaint versus Tagaytay judge
The Supreme Court (SC) has dismissed an administrative complaint filed by former television host and press assistant secretary Cecile Kristin “Baby” O’Brien against a Tagaytay City judge.
In a recent 2-page notice, the SC 1st Division said O’Brien failed to show that acting Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 18 Judge Jaime Santiago violated the New Code of Judicial Conduct for Philippine Judiciary.
“Wherefore, the instant administrative case against respondent Hon. Jaime B. Santiago is dismissed for lack of merit,” read the notice signed by Division Clerk of Court Librada Buena.
The notice did not narrate the allegations raised by O’Brien against Santiago.
It mentioned, however, that O’Brien accused the judge of abuse of authority, partiality, and conduct unbecoming a judge.
