Roque: Philhealth exec should be fired for filing a defective complaint
Lawyer Harry Roque Jr. on Monday said that Philippine Health Insurance Corp. senior vice president for legal services Rodolfo Rosario should be fired for filing a defective complaint against the owner of WellMed Dialysis Center.
Roque, the lawyer of whistleblowers Edwin Roberto and Liezel Santos, stressed that Rosario should have not impleaded the two witnesses, and that he should have charged PhilHealth officials who are in collusion with WellMed owners.
“The proper charge should’ve been graft and corruption or plunder against the owners of WellMed who are obviously in collusion with people within PhilHealth,” Roque said.
Nonetheless, Roque assured the public that the case can be re-filed because it was dismissed only on a technicality, and there will be no double jeopardy.
“We call on the new management of the Philhealth to appoint a more competent senior VP for legal,” Roque said.
