The camp of Vice President Leni Robredo in Thursday asked the Presidential Electoral Tribunal to immediately resolve all pending incidents in connection with the electoral protest filed by former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

In an urgent motion, Robredo through counsel Romulo Macalintal underscored the need for PET to resolve all the pending incidents, saying her lead against Marcos even widened by more than 15, 000 votes after the revision and recount of ballots in the three pilot provinces of Iloilo, Negros Oriental and Camarines Sur.

“Without pre-empting the resolution of the Honorable Tribunal, the result of the revision, recount and re-appreciation of the ballots clearly confirm the victory of protestee Robredo,” the urgent motion said.

“Result after recount, revision and re-appreciation of the 5, 145 merged and clustered precincts from the pilot provinces showed Robredo’s votes at 279, 215,” it added.

Robredo won the 2016 vice presidential race with 14, 418, 817 votes or 263, 472 more than Marcos’ 14, 155, 344 votes.
