Robredo burns Trixie Angeles over Ifugao death blanket issue: Who’s the idiot now?
“Eh parang… alam mo, ang hilig nila magsabi na bobo ako, hindi nag-aaral, ayon pala, baliktad.”
This was Vice-President Leni Robredo’s subtle swipe against suspended abogada Trixie Cruz-Angeles, after the latter accused her of unwittingly wearing an “Ifugao death blanket” in a December 31 post on Facebook.
Ifugao Nation on January 10 belied Angeles’s post and added that Robredo helped promote the product of indigenous weavers.
Addressing the matter in the January 13 episode of her weekly radio program “BISErbisyong Leni,” Robredo said: “Iyong suot ko noon, nakakatawa iyon. Abogada pa naman iyon.”
“Isa kami doon na akala namin dahil [hindi] totoo, huwag na lang pansinin. Pero mali pala iyon. Mali pala iyon. Kapag hindi totoo, i-correct kasi lalong namimihasa,” she added, without mentioning Angeles’s name.
