Rene Saguisag slams Duterte’s petty insults: Ang tapang mang-away pero atras sa China!
Former senator Rene Saguisag has scored President Rodrigo Duterte for having the balls to insult almost any being except China.
In his May 25 column for the Manila Times, Saguisag noted the irony of Duterte’s staunch criticism of countries concerned over the administration’s drug war and his lack of strong action about China’s militarization in the South China Sea.
“Indeed, Digong appears to be China’s ‘protectee’ while the country has been reduced to a ‘protectorate’ of it, to be defended by it, from the US, etc., but not from itself,” he said.
As President, Saguisag said Duterte should take the high road instead of engaging in “pettiness” or “childishness.”
“Digong has many attack dogs. Let one of his rottweilers do it,” he said.
Save for China, the former senator said Duterte hasn’t spared anyone from verbal attacks. Among his recent victims was a slain priest, whom he accused of having extramarital affairs. The President even showed a matrix detailing the priest’s relationships with various women.
“Why not a West Philippine Sea matrix? China would be offended?” Saguisag remarked.
