San Beda Graduate School of Law Dean Ranhilio Aquino commended Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro for calling out China for its attempt to denigrate him.
This was after Teodoro, while speaking at a security forum in South Korea, was handed a note from China which criticized the South China Sea arbitration case.
Teodoro called this “actual coercion, bullying, and aggression” after reading the note out loud and told China to have some decency and shame.
In a Facebook post, Aquino thanked Teodoro for standing up to “Chinese rudeness.”
He also said former President Rodrigo Duterte should answer for making the Philippines “a lackey of Xi Jinping.”
Duterte had forged close ties with China during his term.
