Abogados are being asked to chime in on the issue of legality of Cebu Governor Gwen Garcia’s attempt to censor criticism. One netizen pointed out how Garcia threatened other critics with her alleged team who monitors sentiments against the government.

Garcia publicly shamed a rapper named Brandon Perang after he cursed the local government for imposing a curfew. The governor made him take an oath in front of the media to never criticize the government again that earned the ire of many as it infringes on freedom of expression.
