Powerhouse: Meet the abogados defending ABS-CBN
The Supreme Court confirmed today that ABS-CBN petition for a TRO against the NTC has been filed. The network has hired top abogados from the Poblador Reyes & Bautista Law firm to handle their case.
Apart from founding partner, Mario Luza Bautista, abogado Nick Emmanuel C. Villaluz is also participating in the case. Also a graduate of the UP College of Law and the University of Michigan Law School, Villaluz is already senior partner in the firm and has previously represented multinationals and real estate developers in multiple cases. The abogado also has a wide range of experience in representing major corporations in international arbitrations and is a go-to adviser for pre-litigation matters.
Also joining the team is CPA abogado and senior partner, Elizabeth Liceralde. The abogado is recognized as Asia Pacific’s Leading Lawyers in the field of Intellectual Property. She also placed fifth in the 2008 Bar Examinations and is graduate of the UP College of Law with latin honors.
Abogado Michelle B. Go is also part of the team and is a Senior Associate of PBR. The abogado also graduated from the UP College of Law in 2012 and is a member of several honor society.
Another bar topnotcher joins the list with abogado Jayson Aguilar. The abogado is a junior partner in PBR Law firm and has placed third in the 2015 Bar. He also graduated from the UP College of Law as his batch’s valedictorian.
Abogado Desiree Sokoken also joins the fold of ABS-CBN. The abogado has graduated from the UP College of Law in 2017 and has earned the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence.
To complete the team, abogado Charles Richard Avila Jr is a junior associate and is the lone Ateneo Law graduate. He graduated in 2016 from the university and was accorded 2nd Honors in his batch.
