Plot to kill Masbate town mayor hatched in Sandra Cam’s resort – witness

The plot to kill Batuan vice mayor Charlie Yuson III last year was allegedly hatched in Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) board member Sandra Cam’s resort in Masbate.

This was claimed by potential star witness Amelita Albiola, who was a former worker in Cam’s resort, in an affidavit which was already submitted before the Department of Justice.

Last Friday, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) filed a complaint for murder and frustrated murder against Cam before the DOJ in connection with Yuson’s assassination in Manila last year.

The NBI’s Death Investigation Division filed the charges against Cam along with her son, Marco Martin, and Nelson Cambaya, Junel Gomez, Bradford Solis, Juanito De Luna, and Rigor Dela Cruz.

In her affidavit, Albiola disclosed that the plot to kill Yuson was diligently planned in Cam’s resort in Masbate in September 2018.

According to Albiola, Cam and her son Marco were present in that meeting along with several other individuals whom she identified as Cambaya, Gilbert Bocboc, Esteban Ballesteros, Severnino Alforte, Gerlie Joy Canezal, Peter Julius Tresvalles, Salvador Vale, and Ronnie Mamorno.

Albiola, who also served as the family’s poll watcher in the last May 2019 Local Elections, disclosed that Cam instructed Cambaya to hire a gunman that will liquidate the vice mayor and his son, Charmax Jan Yuson.

The gunman contacted by Cambaya turned out to be respondent Junel Gomez alias’ Bunso. ‘

Cam’s son Marco Martin ran but lost to the victim’s son Charmax in the mayoralty race in Masbate’s Batuan town.

Yuson was shot dead while having breakfast with Wilfredo Pineda and Alberto Alforte in Sampaloc, Manila on Oct. 10, 2019.

Pineda and Alforte were wounded in the attack.

Yuson’s wife, Lalaine, accused Cam of masterminding his death over politics.

Cam has denied the allegations against her.
