Peña tells law students: Don’t be like Cardema!
Law students should not only know who they want to become but also who not to emulate.
This seems to be the message of abogado Gideon Peña, who identified former youth commissioner Ronald Cardema as part of the latter group, especially when it comes to studying legal cases.
“Friendly advice to law students: Read the law and the assigned cases carefully. Do not be like Cardema,” said Peña.
Elections Commissioner Rowena Guanzon also told Cardema to “study his case and get a good lawyer.”
The Commission on Elections First Division ruled that Cardema, 34, was not eligible to represent the youth sector, because the law limits a representative’s age to 25 to 30 years.
Friendly advice to law students:
Read the law and the assigned cases carefully.
Do not be like Cardema.
