As the 30th Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines open today, abogado Gideon Peña made a case against using loaned money just to host the Games.

He used as an example the controversial P55-million cauldron built at the New Clark City Stadium for the opening ceremony.

“This only proves that we don’t need to spend so much borrowed money for something that will only be used once,” said Gideon Peña.
