PDP-Laban execs, Eagles to accompany Robin at DOJ probe

Ranking officials of Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) along with members of Duterte Youth, Inday Sara Duterte Advocacy, Eagles Brotherhood, and leaders of the Muslim community, will accompany Sen. Robinhood Padilla during his preliminary investigation before the Department of Justice on Friday.

PDP-Laban national spokesman Ferdinand Topacio said the groups will gather at 1:30 p.m. in front of the DOJ main office along P. Faura Street to support Padilla.

Padilla is facing a preliminary investigation over a complaint for obstruction of justice stemming from allegations that he and others helped facilitate the escape of Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa after the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against him in connection with the Duterte administration’s anti-drug campaign.

Topacio said the groups will be present to show their support for Padilla and to protest the government’s alleged harassment of opposition leaders.#
