Panelo warns VP Sara may be assassinated if all legal moves to oust her fail

Former Duterte chief presidential legal counsel Salvador Panelo expressed fear that those seeking to remove Vice President Sara Duterte from office may resort to assassination if all legal means to oust her fail.

Panelo said the impeachment case, the grave threats charges against Duterte, and even efforts to amend the Constitution to change the two-thirds vote needed to convict her were part of a clear plan to remove her from office

“If you’re behind 3 processes to obliterate her, anong gagawin mo? Papatayin mo si Inday Sara,” Panelo said during an interview on Bilyonaryo News Channel’s At The Forefront with Atty. Karen Jimeno.

“Kaya very imminent ang threat sa buhay niya. Nanganganib talaga ang buhay ni Inday Sara,” he added.

Panelo said Duterte’s fears should not be dismissed as mere drama as she noted that her security detail had been changed.

He said he was not speaking from inside information but from what he described as “common sense.”

“No. Common sense. If you’re behind 3 processes to obliterate her, anong gagawin mo? Ililibing ko na lang siya. Walang iba eh,” Panelo said.

“Kasi pag hindi, tatakbo yan. Mananalo yan. At delikado (sila),” he added.#
