Malacanang on Friday slammed personalities who allegedly accepted bribes to keep silent on thorny issues like the territorial dispute like the West Philippine Sea.

This was how Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace press officer Claire Castro responded to former Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV’s claim that lawyer Manases Carpio, husband of Vice President Sara Duterte, received money from China.

Trillanes alleged that Carpio accepted P 319 million in cash from China through CALE88, his company.

She said those who condone such acts should be dealt with.

Gumising tayong lahat!” Castro said.
