Palace: Gov’t has no record of threats against Sara Duterte

The government’s law enforcement agencies have no record of threats made against Vice President Sara Duterte, Malacañang said on Monday.

In a press briefing, Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace press officer Claire Castro said the Philippine National Police and the National Bureau of Investigation had no reports, complaints, or records about threats to the Vice President’s life or safety.

“Wala pong record, wala pong pagsusumbong, wala pong reklamo,” she said.

She added that the government’s law enforcement and security agencies continue to perform their mandate of protecting all Filipinos, including Duterte.

“Patungkol sa sinasabing atake ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. sa kaniya personal, 2024 pa. Hindi po ito nabanggit ninuman o nabanggit man lang niya noong panahon na sinasabing siya ay inaatake noong 2024 pa. Wala rin po siya nabanggit patungkol sa sinasabing threats way back 2023,” she said.

Castro added: “Ngayon lang po ito nagsulputan, kung papansin ninyo po, noong nakuwestyon na siya dahil siya mismo ang nagbanta sa buhay ng Pangulo, First Lady at dating Speaker.”
