One final push: Law dean Festin tells Bar takers to finish strong

Polytechnic University of the Philippines law dean Gemy Lito Festin shared an encouraging message for Bar takers as they head into the last day of the exams on Sunday.

In a Facebook post, Festin urged them to finish strong, noting that they had already made it through two days.

He advised them to focus on the test ahead and not dwell on their answers in the earlier exams.

“Forget the answers you can no longer change. Tapos na iyon. Give your very best to what is still before you,” he said.

He also reminded them to ensure they understand the question and keep their answer responsive and direct, never forgetting to state the legal basis.

If a challenging question comes up, he said they should not panic and should instead breathe, think, answer, and move forward, not letting it derail the rest of the exam.

“Trust your preparation. Trust yourself. Above all, trust God. When you submit your final answer tomorrow, may you be able to say: ‘Lord, I gave it my best. The rest is Yours,’” he said.

“One final Sunday. Two subjects. One final push. Finish strong, future lawyers. I am praying for you and cheering for you,” he added.
