No more PhilSat! SC issues TRO against law school admissions test
The Supreme Court of the Philippines is stopping the Philippine Law School Admission Test (PhilSat). According to reports, a TRO was issued and will be released on Monday.
Recently, the Legal Education Board has been required abogado aspirants to take a qualifying exam before enrolling in a law school. The decision sprung from a complaint filed by Makati RTC Judge Oscar Pimentel who wished to transfer all regulatory powers to the SC.
Previously, LEB Chair EJ Aquende has stood before the high court to defend their stance. He is only one of the defendants called during the oral arguments before the SC.
