No for me: COMELEC spox, Leonen speak out against vote buying after Robredo claim
COMELEC spokesperson James Jimenez is speaking up after Vice President Leni Robredo tells public to accept money from politicians. The spokesperson reiterated that vote buying is an election offense regardless of financial situation.
I disagree with the notion of taking the money and voting according to your conscience. Vote buying is an election offense regardless of financial situation or noble intentions. Di dapat ginagawa, at di dapat sina-suggest yan sa mga botante.

Jimenez openly disagreed with the idea of voting according to conscience. He hits Robredo by saying this should not be encouraged or asked of people to consider.
Similarly, Leonen seconded this claim and said that accepting bribe money is wrong. The abogado stated that this will make them complicit to a moral wrong and encourage the wrong values.
It is wrong to encourage people to accept bribe money during elections. It will make them complicit to a moral wrong and encourage the wrong values.
We should encourage dignity, not cheating.
