Netizens smell something fishy with early retirement of another SC justice
What’s cooking in Padre Faura?
Fans and legal community aficionados are puzzled to hear yet another Supreme Court magistrate opting to retire early, with Associate Justice Eduardo Delos Santos the third to do so.
Delos Santos has only been serving the court for over a year but now wants out, saying he found the job to be “tremendously difficult.” He wrote his staff in a letter thanking them for their work and that he’s sad to part ways.
Chief Justice Diosdado Peralta is on his last day of service on March 26, opting to leave one year before his retirement at 70 years old. In November 2020, Associate Justice Priscilla Baltazar-Padilla also bowed out of the en banc due to “physical disability.”
Of course, social media is now filled with conspiracy theories that suggest they are clearing the way for President Rodrigo Duterte to put more of his men there –– and perhaps protect him from suit as he vacates Malacañang in 2022.
Pati mga justices nagtatalunan na ng maaga😆

Apparently using the same trick as the reps in US to stack the Supreme Court and make it an instrument of power

Nako. Dalawa na agad sa alagad ni duterte ang papalit. Syempre yung mas bata para kapit niya pa rin kahit wala na siya sa pwesto. 🤧 https://t.co/UKGfjJAffA
