NBI releases teacher in ‘kill Duterte’ tweet after posting P72K bail
Public school teacher Ronnel Mas, who was charged with inciting to sedition for offering a P50-million reward for President Duterte’s death, has posted a bail of P72, 000 before the Olongapo City regional trial court.
Presiding Judge Richard Paradeza ordered his immediate release from his current detention at the National Bureau of Investigation.
As of this writing, Mas was being released by the NBIA after eight days in detention.
“Accordingly, the National Bureau of Investigation Manila is hereby ordered to release the accused unless detained for some other lawful cause,” Paradeza said in an order.
The court scheduled Mas’ arraignment on May 28.
