Justice Undersecretary Margarita Gutierrez and FPJ party-list Rep. Brian Poe Llamanzares tied the knot on Tuesday, September 8, with a host of public officials and well-known personalities, including First Lady Liza Marcos, cheering them on as they begin a new chapter in their lives.
Gutierrez and Llamanzares both come from families with high-profile members.
Gutierrez is the daughter of former Ombudsman and now National Commission of Senior Citizens chair Merceditas Gutierrez.
Llamanzares is the son of former Sen. Grace Poe and the grandson of showbiz legend Fernando Poe Jr.
The couple exchanged “I dos” at the Santuario de San Jose in Mandaluyong City.
The First Lady was one of their wedding sponsors and sent well-wishes for the couple on her social media page. She also posted photos from the wedding.
“There’s something special about watching the children of dear friends grow up and begin a beautiful new chapter of their own,” Marcos said.
She advised them to be each other’s best friend and wished them a marriage filled with friendship, laughter, patience and a love that grows deeper with every season.
The other principal sponsors included Speaker Faustino Dy III, Sen. Vicente Sotto III, former Senate President Franklin Drilon, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, ABS-CBN executive Cory Vidanes, and business leaders Ramon Ang, Tessie Sy Coson, and Lance Gokongwei.
