More RTC, MTC on lockdown due to COVID-19
More regional and municipal trial courts in the country have been placed on lockdown due to COVID-19 infections.
The Gamay, Northern Samar RTC Branch 38 will be physically closed until October 22, 2020, a memorandum signed by acting Presiding Judge Ricardo Amos read.

Also, Branches 21, 22, and the Office of Clerk of Court of the Laoang, Northern Samar RTC shall be physically closed from October 13 to October 26.
But they may still be reached thru their hotlines and email address posted in the Supreme Court website, according to the memorandum of Executive Judge Decoroso Turla.
Likewise, the Malolos City RTC Branches 83 and 103 will be closed until October 27 after a staff tested positive for COVID-19 during reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction or swab testing.
Branch 103 is sharing offices with Branch 83. The announcement of temporary closure was contained in a memorandum signed by Executive Judge Olivia Escubio-Samar.
Furthermore, the Los Baños, Laguna Municipal Trial Court will be closed from October 15 to October 29, Executive Judge Caesar Buenagua said.
This as a staff tested positive for COVID-19 during swab testing.
Moreover, the Balanga, Bataan, RTC Branch 3 will be physically closed from October 14 to 28 as per a memorandum issued by Executive Judge Marion Jacqueline Poblete.
During the period of lockdown, all staff have been directed to undergo swab testing, and to observe strict home quarantine.
The courts shall continue to operate through its hotline numbers and emails.
The courts may also conduct video conference hearings and accept pleadings through electronic filing pursuant to existing circulars issued by the SC.
