May nalilate: Angara responds to Locsin’s comment on pardon for jailed women, elderly
Senator Sonny Angara responded to Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Boy Locsin after he picked up on his initiative to decongest jails in the country.
The abogado shifts the blame to Bureau of Corrections after Locsin said that he has been lobbying for pardon of non-violent women and old men since late President Cory Aquino’s time.
More economical and humane ; Board of pardons said there are some prisoners who have exceeded their sentence but records sent to them by BuCor are late

Angara said that the Board of Pardons has reported that many have exceeded their sentence already but BuCor delivered the paperwork late. The abogado stated that they are now looking at a more economical and humane system as the request to develop a decongestion roadmap was already ordered.
Just the tip of the iceberg, I guess!
