Matibag challenges Paolo Duterte to file case against wife

NBI Director Melvin Matibag challenged Davao City Rep. Paolo Duterte to file a complaint against his wife, Laguna Rep. Anne Matibag, if he has evidence of ghost or substandard flood control projects in her district.

Matibag said Duterte should bring whatever evidence he has to the proper authorities instead of merely making statements about the issue.

He said Duterte, as a congressman, could file a complaint and submit evidence of any alleged irregularities involving flood control projects.

Matibag also said he was willing to recuse himself if Duterte chose to file the complaint with the NBI to avoid any questions about the impartiality of the investigation.

“If he has evidence, then file a case,” Matibag said in challenging Duterte to bring the matter before the proper authorities.#
