Love loses: PUP Law class votes against same-sex marriage
The Polytechnic University of the Philippines College of Law students was in for quite a debate recently. According to Professor Tony La Vina, the class was divided on the issue of whether or not same-sex marriages can be allowed.
It was eventually a close vote, but in the end the PUP Justices voted to uphold the constitutionality of Articles 1 and 2 of the Family Code which restricts marriage to between a man and a woman. There was failure of the pro-same sex marriage side to provide convincing arguments. pic.twitter.com/tkXS0UP7Ow
