Lawyer criticizes Ted Te’s questions for Baste: ‘Awfully dumb questions’

LaLawyer Ahmed Paglinawan criticized some of Theodore Te’s questions to Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte in the course of qualifying him as a hostile witness in the impeachment trial of his sister, Vice President Sara Duterte.

On Facebook, Paglinawan reposted an art card listing Te’s questions to Sebastian, particularly asking him about whether he was only at the Impeachment Court because he was compelled to be there by a subpoena and that he would not have voluntarily testified had he been summoned.

“This here are awfully dumb questions, Ted,” Paglinawan said.

He said Te had been his professor in Criminal Law 1 and had liked him a lot back then.

The Impeachment Court granted Te’s bid to declare Sebastian a hostile witness.

The Davao City mayor was quizzed about the contracts that Davao City awarded to Gencorp Industries Inc., a firm where the Vice President is a stockholder.
