Laging handa! Gibo receives Catholic Scouting Award, reunites with former teacher

Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. looked back on his Boy Scouts of the Philippines days as he reunited with his teacher, who presented him with the Catholic Scouting Award.

Teodoro said he was happy to meet and talk to his former teacher, Eagle Scout Manuel “Saloy” S. Salumbides, as the latter presented him with the recognition.

Teodoro thanked Salumbides for giving him the award and wished him well.

“Hangad ko ang kanyang mabuting kalusugan upang mas marami pa s’yang mabigyang inspirasyon. Saludo po ako sa inyo, Scouter Saloy!” he said in a Facebook post.

Teodoro recently earned praise for calling out China’s “disrespectful” act while he was speaking at a security forum in South Korea.
