Sen. Panfilo Lacson said his allegations of illegal reclamation in Taguig are not fake news as he said he has details about four “illegally reclaimed” parcels of land in Taguig City, which he said are covered by “fraudulently” issued land titles.
Lacson also said four other parcels have no plotted title lots in the digital file of the Land Registration Authority (LRA).
Lacson shared these details in a post on X to counter statements of Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano that there is no illegal reclamation in Taguig, contrary to Lacson’s claims.
He listed the four “fraudulently titled” parcels of land in his post, with land areas of 9,204 square meters, 5,000 square meters, 181,077 square meters, and 193,027 square meters.
“Since Sen. Cayetano keeps publicly asking for evidence, I’ll give it to him, in the spirit of public interest,” he said.
He also said he would submit these details to the Office of the Ombudsman for its fact-finding team.
He said the LRA is looking into land titles covering some 38.83 hectares of illegally reclaimed areas on the Taguig City side of Laguna Lake.
He said he had asked the LRA to check the history of the original certificates of title and other modes of titling so that they could see how these documents were manipulated and file the necessary charges.
Lacson earlier said he had identified alleged ghost slope protection projects and alleged illegally reclaimed tracts of land covering Laguna Lake.
But Cayetao said Lacson was trolling him nearly every day with “inconclusive, argumentative, and hearsay” allegations instead of leaving the issues to be investigated by the proper agencies.
