Kenneth Manuel urges charges vs motorists who ignore pedestrian lanes

Lawyer Kenneth Manuel said cases should be filed against the motorist who hit pedestrians who were crossing a pedestrian lane on Sumulong Highway in Antipolo City.

The incident was caught on video.

Reports said the motorist, an employee of the Land Transportation Office, fled after hitting the pedestrian, but he was eventually cornered and arrested by an off-duty policeman who witnessed the incident.

Manuel said the driver should be charged to discourage other motorists from ignoring pedestrian lanes.
