Julian Ongpin tells cops he tried to stop Jonson from committing suicide in hostel
Region 1 Police said the son of bilyonaryo Julian Ongpin sustained wounds as he was found alone with artist Bree Jonson’s lifeless body in a La Union hostel.
Police Regional Office 1 chief PBGen Emmanuel Peralta, however, said the marks do not appear to have resulted from a violent altercation between him and the up-and-coming painter.
Initial findings, however, point out that these were not scratches inflicted by a struggling Jonson.
Maaaring yung chain ay ginamit niya to harm herself inside the CR… Na-establish na ating SOCO personnel na yung mga sugat sa forearm niya, sa katawan niya ay not caused by struggle coming from Brianna,” the PNP official said, referring to Jonson by her full name.
Meanwhile, scuff marks found on Jonson’s neck were reportedly due to self-harm, as police complete autopsy and other medical examinations to confirm her cause of death.
