It’s character development: Ben Bernabe says learning AI’s risks changed his stance

Lawyer Benedict Bernabe weighed in on criticism that people who have used artificial intelligence are hypocritical for now speaking out against it.

In a post on X, Bernabe said it was not hypocrisy but character development.

He said he had used AI before he became aware of the risks that it posed to the environment and personal data.

At the same time, he acknowledged that it is not completely avoidable.

He said his stand now is specifically against generative AI.
