Lawyer and TV host Gaby Concepcion put the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority’s 136 hotline to the test when she ran into its General Manager Nicolas Torre III, who touted its quick response.

Concepcion, who is also the Executive Director of the National Authority for Child Care, said Torre told her about the hotline’s 5-5-5 rule, which means someone will answer in 5 rings, there will be a response in 5 minutes, and a delivery of service in 5 minutes.

She said they tested it and somebody answered their call on the fourth ring.

They asked for a traffic situation update because of an accident along C5 corner Ortigas Avenue.

She said that after 44 seconds, she received a message on her cellphone showing a snapshot from CCTV in the area.

She was glad about the swift response and said she hoped this would be consistent.

She reminded the public that they can call the 136 hotline in case they get into a vehicular accident or need medical or fire department services.
