Isko checks UST Bar exam security: ‘Kailangan natin ng maraming abogado sa bansa’

Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso and Manila Police District (MPD) Director PBGen. Arnold B. Santiago conducted a joint inspection Sunday to ensure the safe and orderly conduct of the 2026 Bar examinations at the University of Santo Tomas (UST).

Santiago said around 180 police personnel were deployed around UST with two gates along P. Noval Street and Lacson Avenue secured.

Another 168 personnel were deployed at San Beda University, another Manila testing site, where one gate was closely guarded.

Concepcion Aguila and J.P. Laurel streets were designated as drop-off points for examinees.

Medical personnel from the Manila City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department were also placed on standby for emergencies, while tents were prepared in case of rain.

Traffic personnel were likewise deployed to ensure smooth traffic flow around the testing sites.

Moreno assured Bar examinees and their families that the city government and MPD had mobilized their full resources for their safety.

“I wish the bar examinees, sana pumasa silang lahat. The entire resources of the City Government and MPD is in place para maging panatag ang Bar Examination ngayon 2026. Everything is in place,” Moreno said.

“Sana maging abogado silang lahat. Kailangan natin ng maraming abogado sa bansa,” he added.#
