IBP deplores killing of two lawyers
The Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) has strongly denounced the killing of two lawyers just recently.
“The Integrated Bar of the Philippines is saddened by and condemns the murder of Atty. Val Crisostomo of IBP Pangasinan Chapter and Atty. Adilberto Golla of IBP Manila IV Chapter,” IBP Executive Vice President and incoming president Domingo Egon Cayosa said in a statement.
“Nakikiramay po kami sa kanilang mga pamilya at mahal sa buhay,” he stated.
Crisostomo who was shot dead by a still unidentified assailant in front of the Dagupan City Justice Hall.
A resident of the nearby town of Manaoag, Crisostomo was standing in front of the justice hall after attending a court hearing when the suspect shot him at 9:15 a.m last Friday.
Crisostomo was rushed to the Region 1 Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival. The suspect immediately fled the crime scene.
On the other hand, Golla Jr., 45, a native of Sultan Kudarat, was killed in an ambush in Rodriguez, Rizal a little past 8am also on Friday.
