House prosecution panel drops bribery article vs VP Sara

The House prosecution panel has decided not to pursue Article 3 of the impeachment complaint, which covers bribery, against Vice President Sara Duterte, according to DWAR Abante Radyo.

House prosecution spokesperson Rep. Zia Alonto Adiong confirmed the development in a message to Abante, saying the decision was made by the prosecution panel but has yet to be formally presented before the impeachment court.

“That’s the decision of the Prosecution panel but it would only be made official once the court reconvenes on Monday,” Adiong said.

The prosecution panel is expected to formally inform the impeachment court of its decision through a manifestation when proceedings resume this coming week.

The panel’s decision comes as the impeachment trial moves forward.#
