Hi-tech sa wakas! SC to accept e-payments for court fees, Gesmundo says
The Supreme Court is keeping up with the digitally-charged times and is setting up a platform to allow online payments of court fees and other transactions.
In his virtual media session on Friday, Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo announced that takers of the 2021 Bar examinations will get the first crack at the e-payments portal of the Judicial branch.
“For this year’s Bar exam, aside from being automated the court will likewise allow online submissions of Bar examination applications and electronic payment of Bar fees,” the top abogado said.
“The Judiciary e-payments solution will soon allow litigants to directly pay court fees online using various modes and channels of payment such as credit card, online banking, digital wallet, among others,” he added.
However, Gesmundo admitted this will all rely on “strengthening the ICT infrastructure” of the entire Judiciary.
