The son-in-law of mall tycoon Edmund Gaisano Sr. along with nine other individuals have been slapped with a hold departure order by the Cebu City regional trial court following their indictment for the non-bailable offense of syndicated estafa.

Branch 7 Judge James Stewart Ramon Himalaloan issued the HDO against Derwin Wong – Gaisano’s son-in-law -,
Wong Chung Yin, also known as David Wong; Derick Wong; Diane Wong; Davidson Wong; Lucy Chua; Juvy Ting; Susan Lu; Beverly Ansay; and Leonardo Marsan.

The respondents remained at large except for Derwin Wong who was arrested in Manila last April 11, over the alleged unauthorized trading of some P24-million worth of investment of one of Gaisano’s daughters.

“You are hereby ordered to restrain or enjoin the following accused from leaving in all airports and seaports of the Republic henceforth and until further order of this court,” Judge Himalaloan’s order read in part.
