HDO issued versus suspects in Dominic Sytin slay pending probe
The Angeles City Regional Trial Court (RTC) has issued a precautionary hold departure order (HDO) against businessman Dennis Sytin and two other suspects in connection with the killing of his brother Dominic Sytin.
Even if Dennis and fellow suspects Oliver Fuentes and Edgardo Luib were yet to be indicted, the court found probable cause to believe that they “will depart from the Philippines to evade arrest and prosecution of [the] crime against them.”
The precautionary HDO was thus issued even if the murder and frucase was still pending preliminary investigation before the Department of Justice.
Judge Omar Viola ordered the Bureau of Immigration to prevent the three from leaving the country until the investigation is finished.
Dennis is accused of masterminding the November 28, 2018 killing of his brother Dominic, based on the account of self-confessed gunman Luib.
